Fighters in Anime Duelists on Roblox arrive with two upgrade layers: traits that alter combat behavior and stats that define numeric power. Both use consumable reroll items you earn from codes, quests, Trials, and the Battle Pass. Because rerolls are finite and codes only refill them slowly, wasting items on temporary units is the fastest way to stall mid-game.

This guide explains trait versus stat value, where to reroll in each world, and why your first target should always be a Mythical or Secret from Mythical and Secret Units.

Traits versus stats

Traits add mechanics: bonus damage windows, cooldown tricks, proc effects, or utility that changes how a fighter feels in battle worlds. A perfect trait on the wrong rarity still dies to World 2 scaling; a perfect trait on a Mythical you keep for fifty hours of content is worth the reroll cost.

Stats are the raw numbers — attack, health, speed, or whatever sliders the Stat NPC exposes. Stats matter for Trials DPS checks and boss timers covered in Trials. They are adjusted separately from traits, using Stat Reroll items instead of Trait Rerolls.

Treat traits as build-defining and stats as fine-tuning once the build is locked.

The golden rule: save rerolls for Mythical and Secret

Legendary fighters from World 1 exist to teach mechanics. You replace them within a session or two once World 2 banner opens. Rerolling a Legendary trait because it “looks bad” burns resources you need when a Mythical finally hatches.

Instead:

• Use Legendaries and Epics untouched until they are fodder.
• Bank Trait and Stat Rerolls from Codes and quests.
• Commit rerolls only when a Mythical or Secret enters your permanent roster.

If you already wasted rolls, stop immediately and read Gems and Game Passes so future Gem income does not repeat the mistake on shop bundles.

How to reroll traits

Open the fighter inspect panel from your inventory or team screen. Trait Reroll consumes one item per attempt and replaces the trait slot with a random alternative from the trait pool. There is no partial refund — each click is final.

• Reroll during Luck-boost windows if the game ties trait quality to boost flags during events.
• Stop when you hit a trait that matches the fighter role (damage, support, tank).

1. Hatch or trade for a world-appropriate Mythical.
2. Trait reroll until the mechanic is usable.
3. Travel to World 2 Stat NPC near teleport.
4. Stat reroll until key stats align with your Trials team goal.
5. Stop — perfectionism drains items needed for the next world’s pull.

Extra Equip from the Game Passes tier list determines how many fighters benefit from your reroll investment at once. If you only equip two slots, reroll two Mythicals max per world. Chasing five perfect builds spreads resources thin.

Trials and PvE checks
